Stability of fuel oil, crude oil, drilling fluid, effect of additive, water-in-oil demulsification can be measured with the Turbiscan device. The Turbiscan Heavy Fuel is easy to use, portable and robust.

Heavy Fuel Oil analysis - ASTM D 7061
Fuel oil is loaded in the Turbiscan™ Heavy Fuel analyser and after 15 minutes the operator gets the “separability number”. This value quantifies the stability of the fuel oil, which is directly related to the stability reserve of the fuel oil.

Water-in-oil demulsification
Phase separation can be monitored by the Turbiscan™ Heavy Fuel and Turbiscan LAB. It detects quickly the phases formation, the quantity of residual oil remaining in the water phase and the density of the emulsion layer between the Oil and Water phases.
